मंडार In Hindu mythology, the Mandar is often described as a gigantic tree that was used like a whip to agitate the ocean of milk during the cosmic churning (Samudra manthan). This churning gave birth to many gods and goddesses, as well as treasures such as the nectar of immortality (amrita).
