समझना to understand

transitive verb

समझना to consider

  • मैं उनको अपने माता-पिता जैसे ही समझता था I considered them as my parents
  • मुझे लगता है कि तुम अपने आपको कुछ समझने लगे हो I feel like you are starting to have the big head
  • जब से वे विदेश गए हैं वे अपने आपको कुछ समझने लगे हैं Since they have gone abroad they no longer feel
समझना to confuse

समझ लेना to understand

intransitive verb

Examples :

  • उन्हें यह समझ लेना चाहिए और सुनना चाहिए They should understand it and listen
